Looking Good, Just Like I Knew You Would

How We Can Help

Addiction is a disease.  People in every state of this nation – over 100,000 in El Paso alone – are affected by this chronic illness. It is a HEALTH ISSUE – not a moral dilemma – that can affect all aspects of life: physical, behavioral, psychological and spiritual.  Such symptoms affect not only the individual suffering with addiction, but also families, friends, and close associates…

For over ten years, Recovery Alliance has been dedicated to serving the needs of alcohol and chemically dependent individuals, their families, and the entire recovery community within El Paso and beyond.  Our Recovery Coaches are prepared to work with persons in recovery at the Recovery Alliance’s residential recovery center, Casa Vida de Salud.  Recovery coaches conduct intakes, maintain daily follow-up interaction, and schedule weekly recovery coaching sessions that continue for up to two years...

In addition to the Peer Services and recovery support we provide at our own facility, we actively work in cooperation with a network of service providers to ensure the most effective and successful solutions to recovery for each individual.  (Ask us about our “Recovery Resource Guide” – a comprehensive listing of recovery resources throughout the El Paso region!)

We continue to assess the strength of the recovery community, refine current services, develop new services, evaluate our program effectiveness and, strive to preserve the peer nature of the organization.

At the Recovery Alliance, we strive to uphold specific ethical guidelines and codes of conduct, and share many core values:

• Stewardship – We are stewards of the public trust.  We use our resources wisely and we lead by example.

• Mutual support – We believe in the concept of mutual support.  We help each other through team work and we assist those seeking services as well as those providing services.

Empowerment – We are empowered by entrusting our success to our community.

• Responsibility – We are responsible and accountable to the recovery community.

• Preparation – We keep up-to-date on the latest information and trends related to recovery services and the recovery community.

• Acceptance – We are prepared. Staff and volunteers are guided through appropriate training levels of the Peer-A-Myd.  We accept all members of the recovery community.

• Authenticity – We are actual members of the recovery community, and we commit to authentic representation of all voices in that community.

• Inclusivity – We are committed to a recovery community inclusive of all. Our doors are open to everyone with a desire to recover.

• Compassion – We treat each other with compassion, respect and understanding.

• Respect – We are respectful of our community’s diversity, including culture, gender, social status and values.
